The ancient Egyptians were an advanced civilization, conquering neighboring African tribes and countries. They also
mixed with the Hyksos, a Canaanite tribe from Lebanon, when they were conquered by them. They are famous for mummifying their dead and building pyramids with the use of trigonometry. Their most famous rulers were King Tut, Ramses the Great, Queen Hatshepshut, Nefertiti, and Cleopatra. They are also famous for their writing, hieroglyphics. They were conquered by Alexander the Great and occupied by Macedonia for a long time, before being conquered by Rome in the time of Julius Caesar. In the present, Egypt is a popular tourist spot due to its pyramids.
Some gods they worshipped included Osiris, king of the gods, Horus, son of Isis and Osiris, Isis, goddess of nature and magic, Thoth, god of wisdom, mathematics, and alchemy, and Set (also called Seth), lord of the underworld.
